Why Takasugi Shinsuke?
Why him? Why be a fan of one of the most evil villains in the comedy/crack series Gintama?
His personality and his character as a whole was what really made me fall in love. He's cruel, almost sadistic, and has this elegant feel about him. He gives the show a whole other reason why to watch and he gives me a reason why to keep watching/reading. His dangerous vibe that he has and the way he smiles is exciting, or maybe that's just me. He, as a character, struck me as the most interesting character in the whole series, and from the moment he appeared it was love. (;
In my own personal thoughts and opinions, the way he acts and what he does, the reasons behind them, and how he executes it--- it's amazing. The way he was able to plant a traitor in the Shinsengumi gave me the impression that it must've been so easy. His smile, the way he looks, his mere appearance in openings or endings is enough to get me squealing like a fan-girl. I think my love for bad guys also plays in as well; Takasugi's so bad-ass. (Ha ha!) We also share some of the same personality traits: he's manipulative and holds grudges. The way he convinces others to 'take revenge' (Gengai Hiraiga, the mechanic), taking advantage of people (be it their feelings or something else) and using them to his own plans. I think he's such an awesome character with a lot of depth and mystery. *__*
